Anna, the upper class figure, was played for the most part as confident, stiff and haughty:
Even when questioned or doubting herself, she maintained her poise:
This image reflects her position when forced to accept that she is in some way wrong. Even here, she doesn’t slouch or lose her upper-body stiffness, rather she bends around the midriff, indicating a change in her Haltung to the situation in question. Her expression doesn’t reflect great shock (as does Dan’s), more a temporary blankness before she proceeds with her agenda:
